To protect residents from noise of highways or roads with a high traffic density, communities are installing sound barier walls. The level of sound
absorption depends on the used materials, the shape and the setting of the whole construction.
Common sound protection systems have a front panel followed by an air gap or insulation and finally the carrying structure.
G.tecz developed an open structured concrete that is able to reduce sound up to 11dB without any additional insulation or air gaps. The material meets all the required specifications and
is made for an industrial series production.
The project was realized with:
BESTCON, BESTWOODYS, SCHELLEVIS and G.tecz
